Session Description:
Although play therapy supervision does not carry the same legal obligations as clinical supervision, there are important ethical considerations that supervisors should prepare for such as vicarious liability, informed consent and dual relationships. This workshop will explore the important gate-keep responsibilities required for play therapy supervisors, including ways to navigate confidentiality and dual relationships. Case studies and discussion questions will help play therapy supervisors understand the importance of solid ethics that support both the guidelines of their professional license and the Association for Play Therapy.
