Many play therapists are making the move into private practice, but may struggle with building and expanding their play therapy practice and skills. This webinar will provide guidance on integrating play therapy throughout the private practice model, from intake and parent consultations to ongoing play therapy treatment. Participants will learn play-basedstrategies for gaining caregiver and client buy-in, explore creative ways to design play therapy spaces that fit various budgets and settings, and engage in experiential activities to enhance their play therapy private practice. The session will also highlight the benefits of expanding play therapy services beyond the office through community partnerships with schools and local organizations.

  1. Explore the use of play-based interventions to engage caregivers in a private practice setting.
  2. Examine ways to set up office space for a playroom, with consideration to different challenges in the private setting.
  3. Discuss the benefits of community-based play therapy services.
