Session Description:
Mindfulness is not just a catch phrase; it is something that can be naturally embedded into daily life of clients across the lifespan. Mindful play therapy interventions can help increase regulation and decrease stress in children and adolescents. In this webinar, participants will explore the use of mindfulness-based play therapy techniques in Gestalt Play Therapy and Jungian Analytical Play Therapy sessions in individual, group and family play therapy. Additionally, time will be spent exploring the principles of Mindfulness Based Play Therapy and its application in a variety of settings.
Learning objectives:
- Analyze the use of mindfulness-based play therapy techniques with children and adolescents
- Apply the basic tenets of Jungian Analytical Play Therapy to mindfulness-based play therapy activities
- Describe the basic principles of Mindfulness Based Play Therapy and its application in the playroom
